Experience

John is a founding partner of Impact Forensics. He got his start in the forensic engineering field in 1988, while earning his Mechanical Engineering degree. Prior to Impact Forensics, John’s professional career included 14 years with Accident Reconstruction Analysis and 20 years with Accident Research Specialists.

While his primary focus has been motor-vehicle accident reconstruction, John also provides technical expertise in the investigation of industrial/workplace accidents and losses involving product failures. He also performs origin and cause investigations into fires and explosions involving structures, vehicles, gas appliances, and other equipment.

John’s clientele consists of national motor freight carriers, fleets, municipalities, insurance carriers, and the legal community. He has offered deposition and trial testimony in both state and federal courts.

John obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, in Raleigh NC. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Alabama. John is also a certified fire and explosion investigator (CFEI).
